As a wedding photographer, it sometimes feels as though a summer vacation is the most difficult thing in the world. Getting even the tiniest bit ahead to allow a few days off with family can seem utterly impossible. And sometimes it is. But this summer has been a difficult one, with several painful losses of loved ones. So, although it is super hard to steal away from the work that keeps me going this time of year, I feel that time with family is the most important thing. Because it’s all just a moment, you know? I try my best to capture it for others, so that they can relive it later on. But sometimes it’s more important to set the camera down and just live. Because we’ve only got this one life.
While I’m away, here’s a quick preview of next weeks’ post, a classic East Lansing wedding on Michigan State University’s campus. Can’t wait to show you this one!!
