serina + dan - williamston
Serina and Dan planned a uniquely personal event filled with family traditions and history. It was beautiful and memorable... everything a wedding should be. Dan's family owns many acres of rolling farmland outside of Lansing near Williamston. It's been a part of their lives for ages and seemed to be the perfect spot to begin Dan and Serina's life together.
In keeping with the backyard feel, the ceremony was open air and held at the foot of the family's pond... ahh, so gorgeous!! The sky was blue with big fluffy clouds and a little breeze- you couldn't dream up a prettier setting. But... the best part? Dan's face as he waited, then watched his gorgeous bride and her dad round the corner and head up the aisle. So much love there! The ceremony was intimate and filled with readings from their childhood and personal vows. And so many smiles!! It seemed to be contagious how happy they were. :D
We stole away for a tour of the farm, just Dan and Serina, with me tagging along behind. It was blissful. Having grown up there, Dan had sweet little stories and memories to share. As we headed to the end of their property, with nothing but the country road and rolling fields beyond, I got the feeling that they could just steal away. I could actually see the two of them heading off into the sunset together and not even looking back. It was just that kind of wonderful happening right then. Of course, being the good bride and groom, they graciously made their way back to their party and got the evening started for their guests. When I headed out a bit later, I knew that was one celebration that was going long into the night.
