eagle eye golf course wedding - lansing, michigan
Anja and Mitch have a great love for Michigan State University's campus. I do, too- it's achingly beautiful and timeless in a way that seems as though it were a set built in Hollywood specifically for a wedding backdrop. They wanted to do wedding photos there, as well as engagement pictures. I usually prefer to do those sessions in two different spots, to provide more variety. We chose two familiar areas and selected several buildings to shoot around that weren't the norm. We ended up with a collection of photos that feel very MSU, while injecting some angles and viewpoints that were completely unique to them. Their first look moment was pure magic... Mitch was so moved by his stunning bride. I will let those images speak for me... they convey so much more than I ever could! How gorgeous are the architectural lines of the porch in these images? It feels very old world to me and is just the perfect accent for their background. I love that their collection contains so much diversity!
Their wedding day was flawless, for the most part, aside from a pesky storm system that threatened to steal the spotlight from their gorgeous ceremony in Eagle Eye's garden. The skies were foreboding, but it didn't stop anything. Anja walked the aisle next to her father with grace and poise... Mitch was clearly stunned. The ceremony wrapped with the two of them promising forever amid the happy support from so many loved ones.
Their reception at Eagle Eye's Hillside Room was full of chic details incorporating plum, burlap and lace. Burlap flowers!! So pretty. Their friends and family celebrated with them long into the night... it was the perfect celebration of their new life together.
