Molly and Cody planned their Lansing-area wedding at St. Martha Parish in Okemos. What a stunning location! Its rolling grounds with ancient pine trees and handsome tower have such a classic presence. The interior is just as beautiful and the large sanctuary is warm and welcoming. I love spaces like the one at St. Martha's, as it allows me to move around the sides and rear and be completely unobtrusive. It also has a spacious bridal room and lots of corners to explore for photos.
Molly and Cody are Michigan State Spartans through and through, so a handful of stops on campus were a must. Some new spots for me and some old favorites... all combined in a series of photos that perfectly celebrates their love of MSU. And their bridal party was more than happy to tag along on the tour of campus. Too many green and white shenanigans to list here! Molly and Cody also chose some different locations on Michigan State's campus for their engagement photos... you can check those out here. It's definitely a favorite session!
We made our way to the Henry Center Atrium in East Lansing for their reception, which was filled to overflowing with family and friends. The atrium is a gorgeous space for a reception and boasts a long wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, which look out over the lush golf course. So pretty, especially at sunset! Of course, we had to steal outdoors for a quick collection of golden hour photos. It was warm and breezy that night and was just right for sneaking away for a bit. I always offer quick sunset photos and not everyone chooses to leave their party... but those that do end up with a sweet set of intimate photos to wrap up the night. They're usually some of the best of the day.
Here are some favorites from Molly and Cody's beautiful wedding... stay tuned for part two with more party photos! Congrats again to these two!! Wishing you both so much happiness! And GO GREEN!!!
